Andre Harrsion isn’t only the best featherweight on the Professional Fighters League roster, he’s also the top prospect in North America.
FloCombat has been releasing their prospect rankings by division for the past week and the featherweight list has some familiar names to MMA fans. Headlining the list is the WSOF featherweight champ, Harrison. The New York native is coming off an unanimous decision win over Steven Rodriguez at PFL: Everett. Prior to that, Harrison captured the WSOF featherweight title by defeating Team Alpha Male product Lance Palmer.
Speaking of “The Party,” Palmer is also on the top prospects list. The former WSOF champion clocks in at No. 5, showing that although he may have lost his last bout, Palmer is still a respected fighter in the MMA community. Although an injury sustained while battling Harrison forced Palmer to sit on the sidelines, “The Party” recently competed in a grappling match at Fight to Win Pro 41. It appears as though the former WSOF champ could be back in the Decagon very soon.
Also on the list and inside the top 10 are former WSOF stars such as Hakeem Dawodu and Bryce “Thug Nasty” Mitchell. Dawodu is listed at No. 2 while Mitchell grabbed the No. 7 ranking. The 26-year-old Dawodu is one of the best free agents on the market and sports an impressive 7-0-1 record. The Canadian came up through the WSOF ranks, with four of his five wins with the promotion coming before the final bell.
Although Mitchell’s appearances in the Decagon were brief, they still endeared himself to MMA audiences. Along with an umblemished record, Mitchell made a lasting impression on fans by perfectly explaining his “Thug Nasty” nickname to WSOF’s Joey Varner.
