Each week FightBytes dips into the video archives to showcase some of the most memorable and amazing moments from in and around the Decagon.

Smealinho Rama (9-1) claimed WSOF’s inaugural heavyweight tile with a vicious drubbing of Derrick Mehmen (18-6) in the co-main event of WSOF 14 at Edmonton EXPO Centre at Northlands in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Rama opened by chopping the legs and kicking to the body, as well. He surprisingly elected to shoot in for a takedown, but Mehmen easily pushed it away. It would be the last moment of success Mehmen could claim.

A left to the chin and a right to the temple wobbled Mehmen, and Rama went full speed ahead. He briefly thought about taking the back and looking for the choke but let it go in favor of unleashing a non-stop assault if punches around and through the guard of a cowering Mehmen. Rama refused to stop the attack, and the punches continued to flow. Mehmen did his best to wait out the onslaught, but Rama never slowed, and Mehmen crumpled to the floor. The bout was waved off in just 51 seconds.
