MMA Vet Chris Lytle Scores KO In Bare Knuckle Boxing Match After 6-Year Break
Jan 16, 2018
Chris “Lights Out” Lytle returned to the realm of combat sports this past weekend, competing in a bare knuckle boxing match against Lewis Gallant. Based on the results, it seems like Lytle might have a little more gas left in the tank than we or himself thought.
Lytle’s last appearance to fight fans was in August of 2011 when he tapped out Dan Hardy, earning Fight of the Night and Submission of the Night honors. Despite the big cash payday, Lytle stepped away from the sport of MMA. Prior to his MMA run, Lytle competed in professional boxing and judging from his contest with Gallant, it doesn’t appear the six year absence made Lytle forget how to stand and bang, bro.
After stepping away from combat sports, Lytle found another way to challenge himself by running for Indiana State Senate in District 28 back in 2012. The run in politics proved to be tougher than his MMA career meaning that perhaps we’ll have more Lytle highlights to come. And honestly, what MMA fan doesn’t want more Chris Lytle highlights in their life?
